This is a starting point that allows younger children (even those that cannot yet read) the opportunity to enjoy using the internet. As far as I know, Cyberdog, along with Cyberdog DocBuilder, provides the only user interface for access to the internet that is simple enough that a small child can use it if it is set up properly. For fun, the 3D dinosaur is thrown in to show how OpenDoc allows for a true multimedia approach to an interactive document.
In addition to the standard Cyberdog components, the KickStart QuickDraw3D Viewer is needed to be able to view and manipulate the dinosaur (as well as the QuickDraw 3D extensions, of course.)
